A talent that has never let me down

Reading my words just to hear it's sound

Creativity in my speech has made people listen

Talent in my heart always has me thinking

To put words on paper and make them rhyme

Speaking the truth, even when things are not fine

Life has been full of surprises, but nothing prevents me from seeing the positive

Never holding on to a grudge, Always finding ways to forgive

I've seen intimidation by some and been questioned by many

To second guess one self has never been me

To see the good even when good has no reason to be seen

Never throw stones, Always keep your hands clean

Surround yourself with positive souls

People who are just like you and are able to add to your mold

A creative mind always has something to say

Trying to express themselves in every way

To find your own creativity should not be a difficult task

If you need assistance, don't be afraid to ask

So much to do, So much to find

Don't give up until you find Your Creative Mind!

Find Your Strength

Finding your Strength in the ways of your world

Find your strength from your inner girl

Never second guess what you feel to be right

Never entertain someone who always wants to fight

Don't let someone play with you like a toy

Find your strength from your inner boy

We were taught to shine with every thing we do

But as we grow old, some of us act as if we don't have a clue

Believe all that's in your heart

If the time comes to let it go don't be afraid of a new start

Don't become complacent especially when  you know your meant to do more

Either you walk away or show her the door

Finding your strength when all you want to do is give up

Call in your reinforcements, Try your luck

Choose to be happy even if your goal is out of reach

Beware of certain people better known as a leach

Find your inner strength because you have no choice

And with your everyday confidence let them hear your voice

Don't you Wish!

 

Don't you wish we could go back in time.

To when we were kids and everything was fine.

Kids played double dutch and freeze tag on the block.

Never having to watch our back or have a fear of being shot.

Don't you wish that all of your dreams came true.

Because you gave it all you had and did what you needed to do.

Travel when you wanted and saw what you needed to see.

And you actually grew up to be what you wanted to be.

Don't you wish that your heart was never broken.

You married who you wanted and love was just unspoken.

You prayed for the best and the best was given.

And you valued your life and never stopped living.

Don't you wish your loved ones stayed around forever.

And family was always there to make everything better.

Imagine people meant what they said and said what they meant.

Treasured their loved ones and time was always well spent.

Tomorrow's not promised and neither is today.

Thoughts of love and healing should run through your veins everyday.

Always reflect on your past because it shaped your present.

Embrace your today and stop living with resent.

If we knew we only had one hour to live.

Would you continue living negatively or stop, think and forgive!



The Truth.......My Truth

I embraced The Truth at 19 years old

An overnight conversation and I was sold

Sold on Love at such a young age

And a few years later, we were engaged

We've been through our ups and downs and have weathered the storm

A relationship that could get through anything in rare form

A unity, A bond, someone that has always met me half way

The man that I still Love till this very day

Who would of known that we would still be together

Eight years married and Sixteen years later

A personal, universal and unconditional Love

Could only be created by the Man up above

You are The Truth and I am a reflection of you

A couple that's so much a like... I guess that's the reason we said I Do!

He's not perfect and neither am I, with a love that's real, who really needs Proof?

"Caution"

A word that's often used to warn us from the Dangers up ahead

Don't you wish it was used before some people say what they've said

Don't be so quick to judge, you don't know what some people may be going through

A critical tongue will not help them and it definately won't help you

The people who promise's to always be by your side

Why when you seem to need them most....They tend to hide?

Be cautious of who you let in your world.

Who you call your Best-Friend, Who claims to be your Girl

Try to give people the Benefit of the doubt, to always believe in their best

But don't let that be your weakness, maybe this is all just a test

Never give away your power, especially in situations you can not control

Being able to deal with difficult people and difficult times.....will get easier as we grow old

Have a forgiving heart, even to those who do not deserve

Be willing to embrace the process.... because of whom you serve

Caution signs are displayed everyday, we just have to pay more attention

Caution signs are displayed...... For unseen Danger... For Every Day Preventions!!!!!

That's Life.......

Never give up, the choice is yours

The world is nothing but revolving doors

Maybe life for you is on a bit of a delay

And you question why you are tempted to hit replay

Make everyday count, you never know when it will be your last

Let go of the negativity, leave the past in the past

Smile a little more often, It's contagious...you'll see

Smile at a stranger.... I bet you'll agree

Never give in, even when things don't go your way

Maybe it's just not your time, tomorrow's another day

Life is what you make it, haven't you heard that before

Make it worthy of exploring instead of an eyesore

Accept your situation and make it work for you

"Change is coming" We've heard that too

People tend to put on a mask, not letting the world see

Their true colors within, How beautiful they can really be

Embrace the unexpected changes that life has in store

Even though you may want so much more

Be patient and grow from the person you were yesterday

Don't Give in and Don't give up! Tomorrow's another day!

How many people can you truly Love in a life time

Is Loving more than one such a terrible crime

Maybe you were the first to penetrate one's soul

How many Love's can one possibly have before they grow old

Open up your mind and let your Heart be free

Open up your Heart and make room for me!

It's beautiful to Love someone in that special way

But it's sacred to Love someone unconditionally everyday

To have more than One Love is all about diversity

It's also about how intense you will let it be

Do you have room in your Heart for more than One

Is it the same for your Husband, Wife, daughter or son

Make limitless space in your heart as beautiful as the skies above
